ABOUT THE WORK
‘JULY’ (painting) – created in 2019.
The work is part of the ’12 Months’ Cycle.
This mini-series was created in parallel with the work on A WALK IN THE DARK, dedicated to the circus, to explore the characters in more detail.
Each eye belongs to a hero and refers to a month, personifying it and as if it is peeping. Anomalies in anatomy are a reference to Polycoria, a rare feature of the eye. At first glance, a repulsive phenomenon, but such a metamorphosis is reminiscent of the versatility of the world, capable of a constant change of form.
Such unique transformations, looking not from this reality, are like superpowers As if this is a reflection of a moment in history when familiar is gone and the very survival of the species is threatened.
But it is also the doubt that permeates science and art of our time.
Through these works, I reflected on the evolution of man, their possible internal changes and how they will experience the world, perhaps in the near future.
The painting ‘JULY’ was presented at the solo show ‘A Walk in the Dark’ in Moscow in 2019.
Every painting is framed in wooden frames, hand-crafted in the ancient Japanese technique of shou sugi ban (charred). The frame is complemented by glass and a 3-step mount boards made of black foam cardboard.

WHAT IS AN ORIGINAL
Original works are paintings / sketches / sculptures creates in a single edition
Natalie does not create copies of works made even a very long time ago, so the owner of the original work can be sure of its uniqueness.
STORING ORIGINALS
Regardless of the material of creation, the original painting should always be perceived as something extremely fragile and delicate.
We always try to place graphic works, as well as paintings created using water-dispersive paints under glass, as these materials are the least durable, especially if they are not painted on canvas / wood panel, but on paper.
As a standard, each graphic work is secured with a non-alkyd fixative and additional protection from UV rays to extend it’s life.
Try not to hang your originals in direct sunlight, find a cozy place for them in the house, where there will not be a lot of sun.
FRAMING
The painting has already been framed in a burnt wooden frame, covered with several layers of fixatives and fitted with glass and suspension on the back.
External dimensions of the design:
300 Х 300 Х 30 mm on the outside.
SHIPPING AND PACKAGING
Each small size original (up to 60 cm on the long side) is packed in air – bubble wrap with a stack of heavy cardboard on the glass side (if it is already decorated and there is glass).
Additionally, the originals are wrapped in black kraft paper, tied with black twine, sealed with a black wax seal with silver highlighting.
If necessary, it is placed in a dense cardboard box.
Small works can be sent by CDEK and Russian Post without any problems (however, for delivery within Russia, we recommend using CDEK).
Delivery of larger works requires a special approach to shipment and packaging because of the greater weight and volume, as well as a larger area of glazing.
If the painting is done in oil on a stretcher or on a wooden panel, it always needs additional protection of the paint layer and the structure of the base, in which case delivery is calculated separately, because. It will most likely be necessary to create a rigid box for a particular picture.
CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY
Original works are always accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, written in English with the features of the work and author’s signature.
